Returns and Refunds

Returns should be packed to avoid damage in shipping and sent to:

Wholesalers and Retailers

Returns

  • Permission is not required.
  • Books must be in salable condition to be eligible for credit.
  • Books must be returned within 12 months for invoice date.
  • The original invoice number must be referenced for full credit.
  • Shipping of returned books will be at the expense of the customer.
  • Whenever a new edition of a book becomes available, the old edition must be returned within 90 days to be eligible for credit.
  • Shipping/handling for the original shipment will not be reimbursed.

Damaged Books

  • Books received in damaged or defective condition, or incorrect shipments, can be returned for full credit.
  • Books damaged in transit to APA Publishing are not eligible for credit and will only be returned to the customer at customer's request. Shipping/handling is not reimbursable. Books will be held for 90 days.
  • The original invoice number must be referenced on all damaged book returns.

Individuals

  • Books may be returned within one year (365 days) for a full refund.
  • Journals subscriptions may be cancelled entitling you to a refund of all unmailed issues.
  • PsychiatryOnline subscriptions may be cancelled entitling you to a refund for the remaining months of your subscription.
  • Videos and CD-ROMS may be returned, provided they are unopened, within 30 days for a full refund.
  • The original invoice or packing slip must be included in the return shipment.
  • Shipping/handling for the original shipment will not be reimbursed.
